I typed in everyday to the google news search and this article came up. It is about “everyday” people and the amazing things they do. The “everyday” people are described as people who had nothing setting them apart from everyone else aside from the heroic things they did.

I took another look at the surrealism cup. It is so interesting to me how easily a person’s perception of an object can be changed so easily through surrealism. Without the fur the cup is an everyday object, with it the cup appears as a foreign object that no one would have any use for.

In wikipedia the search for “everyday” it shows a list of songs with the title of everyday, more than I thought there would be.

This picture came up under a search for “ordinary” in flickr. This is something that is an everyday occurance yet is rarely looked at so closely. This everyday image is beautiful but rarely enjoyed this closely, especially in the moment instead of in a photograph.

I went to flickr and typed in everyday and this is one of the first photos that came up. It is interesting because it reminds me of surrealism. The orange peel is an everyday object but someone took it and made a flower shape out of it, therefore making it like artwork.

 I found this quote online and it reminded me of this class. The artwork that we have seen in class is evidence. Artists have taken everyday objects and transformed them into artwork without doing too much. The everyday objects are changed just slightly but as a result they have a totally new meaning. An object that seemed ordinary and even boring is transformed into a new and exciting object.
