everyday in the news →
I typed in everyday to the google news search and this article came up. It is about “everyday” people and the amazing things they do. The “everyday” people are described as people who had nothing setting them apart from everyone else aside from the heroic things they did.

In wikipedia the search for “everyday” it shows a list of songs with the title of everyday, more than I thought there would be.

I usually fight for normalcy when it feels surreal.
– we feel fine…This quote shows that people percieve things that are surreal as not normal, wihch is how surrealism artwork is percieved by many.
…part of ordinary everyday life…
– The fact that everyday was described as “ordinary” caught my attention in this. Our class was spent exploring the fact that the everyday is not always ordinary, but yet it is obvious that ordinary is how most people view the everyday.
quote reaction
“Science and art have that in common that everyday things seem to them new and attractive.” I found this quote online and it reminded me of this class. The artwork that we have seen in class is evidence. Artists have taken everyday objects and transformed them into artwork without doing too much. final proposal
For the final project I plan on doing the catalog project. I will make a scrapbook using pictures from a catalog that gets sent to my house. I don’t have the catalog I will be using yet so I am not sure what direction I will be going in until I see the pictures in the catalog. I want to try and make a scrapbook that seems like a scrapbook that a family would typically make.

Looking at my group member’s work a pattern different from mine did emerge. She gathered data from obituaries and articles about things such as car accidents for sad and wedding and baby announcements for happy. The “climates” tended to be leaning towards the sad. It was easier to come up with events to search and yeilded a search with more vareity in the subject of the...

Market Street, Poughkeepsie
Outside on Market Street in Poughkeepsie at 11pm on a Friday night, everything is mostly quiet. But, as you drive down the street you can see a line beginning to form in front of Mad Hatters. Cabs are pulling up one after another and tons of people pile out and slowly the line begins to grow. People continue to pile out of cab after cab as slowly the people in the front of the line are let in. On...

-Beach…growing up on Long Island I couldn’t imagine living anywhere that I couldn’t easily get to a beach. The beach is a major part of my summer, I go there as often as possible with my friends. I also try to go there on days in the fall and winter when its not too cold just to be there and enjoy it. -NYC…another benefit of living on Long Island is that I am never more...
